Report on the Eight-Day Hands-On Certificate Workshop on Kinesio Taping, Clinical and Sports Cupping, Dry Needling, and Manual Therapy

The *Eight-Day Hands-On Certificate Workshop on Kinesio Taping, Clinical and Sports Cupping, Dry Needling, and Manual Therapy* commenced on the 6th of August, 2024 at the Orthopaedics and Sports Cardio Rehabilitation Room in PA Institute of Physiotherapy (PAIP). The first four days of the workshop, from August 6th to August 9th, were led by Dr. Vivek Bhanushli, an expert in the field. His sessions covered a wide range of techniques and practical applications relevant to kinesio taping, cupping, and dry needling.

Day 1: August 6, 2024 – Kinesio Taping

The workshop began with an in-depth session on kinesio taping. Dr. Bhanushli introduced the participants to various taping techniques, including muscle technique, fascia technique, lymphatic technique, and space correction technique. These techniques were demonstrated on different regions of the body, tailored to specific conditions. The session was well-received, with participants engaging in both observation and hands-on practice, ensuring a solid understanding of the material.

Day 2: August 7, 2024 – Rigid Taping

On the second day, the focus shifted to rigid taping for various conditions. Dr. Bhanushli provided a comprehensive overview of the theory behind rigid taping before guiding participants through practical exercises. The hands-on approach allowed attendees to apply the techniques they had learned in real-time, reinforcing the theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

Day 3: August 8, 2024 – Dry Needling

The third day of the workshop was dedicated to dry needling. Dr. Bhanushli covered the application of dry needling techniques across nearly all regions of the body. Participants were provided with needles of various sizes and were guided through the process of administering dry needling safely and effectively. This session was particularly valuable, as it provided attendees with the opportunity to practice under professional supervision.

Day 4: August 9, 2024 – Cupping

The final day of Dr. Vivek Bhanushli sessions was focused on cupping therapy. Participants learned about dry cupping, wet cupping, and fire cupping techniques. Dr. Bhanushli demonstrated each method, followed by practice sessions where students applied the techniques themselves. The provision of cups and other necessary materials ensured that everyone had the tools they needed to fully engage in the hands-on practice.

On August 9th, certificates were distributed to participants who completed the sessions on kinesio taping, clinical and sports cupping, and dry needling. The certificates were awarded with credit hours of 14, 7, and 7, respectively, acknowledging the intensive nature of the training and the skills acquired.

The first four days of the Eight-Day Hands-On Certificate Workshop were highly successful, with Dr. Vivek Bhanushli delivering comprehensive training on kinesio taping, clinical and sports cupping, and dry needling. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application ensured that participants gained a thorough understanding of each technique.
